1. It was warm outside. Drake and Gucci Mane were playing catch out on the baseball field. Drake loved the rhythms intrinsic to throwing the baseball. The back and forth of the ball between two men, the camaraderie, the sting of a well-thrown ball into his glove—all of these things satisfied Drake greatly.
    He threw a high lob to Gucci, and he caught it with characteristic ease. Gucci trotted towards him. He looked concerned.
    “Drake,” he said gravely, “I’m worried about the wind.”
    Drake pondered this for a moment. “Is it cold? You don’t have to not wear a shirt, you know.”
    “Of course it’s not that,” Gucci Mane said. “But why is it that we can feel the wind, but not see it?”
    “I don’t know if I can answer that,” Drake said.
    “Do you ever worry that the wind doesn’t get the recognition it deserves? If people can’t see the wind, they might forget about it.”
    Drake spat some sunflower seeds out of his mouth. “But what about when there’s dust in the wind? Doesn’t that count?”
    “No,” Gucci said. “That’s a totally different thing. Totally different.”
    “Oh,” Drake said, and then said nothing. Gucci jogged back to his spot, and the two continued to play catch.
